Will your passport still be valid for your trip? How Remembera reminds you in time
Remembera Published Oct 24, 2026

Most of us look at a passport's expiration date only when a trip is coming up, and sometimes that's too late: many countries require a passport to be valid for months beyond the trip. Remembera keeps an eye on the dates for you.
Every document has a date
ID card, passport, driver's license, car insurance, the warranty on a new laptop, a gym membership: each of them runs out on a day nobody remembers. The dates hide in drawers and email attachments until a form, a border or a repair shop asks for them.
Snap it once
Take a picture of the document, or import a PDF or a photo. Remembera reads the text right on your iPhone and fills in the type of document, the holder's name and the expiration date. Check them, change anything that needs it, add a tag such as Family or Insurance, and save.
Reminded in good time
Every item shows how many days are left, and the number changes color as the date gets closer. Reminders arrive 60, 30 and 7 days before and on the day itself, at the time you choose. Travel documents get an extra reminder 210 days ahead, because a passport that is still valid on the day you fly may not be valid long enough to let you in. You can change the days for all items in Settings, or give a single item its own first reminder.
Always in sight
A Home Screen widget shows what expires next, so the next renewal doesn't take you by surprise.
Your documents stay yours
Remembera has no account and no server. Your pictures and dates stay on your iPhone, protected by iOS data protection and, if you like, by Face ID. Encrypted backups, locked with your own password, keep a copy wherever you choose.
Free to start
The free version keeps two documents with two photos each. Premium, as a yearly subscription or a one-time purchase, adds any number of documents, up to 25 photos each, and restoring backups. Remembera speaks 12 languages, from English and Spanish to Czech, Polish and Finnish.
Reminders are an aid: always check the dates Remembera fills in, and allow notifications for Remembera in the iPhone's Settings. Entry rules differ from country to country, so check them before you travel.
